Italy 2006 : Cinque Terre Photos

This is not our photo, of course. We just thought you might like to see the area on a map.

Also, not our photo (we weren't there during harvest). This is a postcard that illustrates the concept of "vertical viticulture." Interesting to note that the grapes in the basket appear to be red ones. There *are* some red grapes grown in the Cinque Terre but very few.

GPS performed flawlessly in the Cinque Terre blithely informing us that we were 60M below sea level as we set out from Monterosso each morning.

Located quite a bit south, Portovenere is not really a part of the Cinque Terre.
